Praxia

We built Praxia to give pharmacies control over the economics of their business.
Why Praxia exists

Pharmacy has become harder to run profitably. Three pressures shaped what we built.

Margins are under lasting pressure.

Reimbursement pressure and cost volatility are here to stay. When every point of margin counts, missed contract terms and small purchasing errors add up quickly.

The work is spread across too many systems.
Purchasing, inventory, rebates, returns and compliance each sit in a separate system. Teams spend hours moving between portals and spreadsheets just to stay current.
Decisions are made without the full picture.
The data exists across wholesalers, contracts and dispensing systems, but rarely in one place. Buyers end up deciding before they can see the true value of each option.
The pressure on long-term care pharmacy is real
Recent industry findings show how little margin long-term care operators have left to lose.
60%
of LTC pharmacy operators reported they would be forced to close in 2026 without policy relief.
90%
of LTC pharmacy operators expect to make staff layoffs as reimbursement pressure grows.
~80%
of LTC revenue comes from 8 of the 10 drugs subject to 2026 negotiated prices.

The pharmacies that thrive will be those that turn complexity into control, and control into retained margin.
What we believe
The principles that guide how Praxia is built and how it works with your team.
Act on data, not just display it
Reports describe what already happened. Praxia connects your purchasing, inventory and contract data, and shows your team where the opportunities are while there is still time to act.
Work alongside existing relationships
Praxia operates within the wholesaler agreements you already hold and is never the transacting party. Easier compliance with contract terms strengthens the relationships your pharmacy depends on.
One connected platform, at any scale
The same platform serves an independent pharmacy, a multi-location LTC chain or a regional group, so your existing team manages more without adding portals or spreadsheets.
Your team stays in control
Every decision belongs to your team. Praxia shows the options and the reasoning behind each one, and leadership sees clearly where margin is protected or lost.
Proven in daily pharmacy operations

Praxia’s approach has been used in daily pharmacy operations since 2011, measured against real cost of goods, real inventory and real staffing levels.

Our story

Praxia began as an internal solution. Our team was running purchasing, inventory and compliance for a growing pharmacy operation and needed a better way to see the true value of every order, keep stock aligned with real demand and stay in line with contract terms. What started as a tool for our own buyers has been refined in daily use for more than a decade. We keep building with one rule: Praxia connects the data, and your team makes the call.

2011
Purchasing and compliance tracking begins
Every purchasing decision and its contract compliance is recorded from 2011 onward.
2014

2024
3.38x inventory turns
Turns rose from 11.76 to 39.80, with $4.5M less inventory required and no added inventory technicians.
2025
Platform modernization
A full rebuild begins to make Praxia faster, more secure and ready for pharmacies of every size.
